The Scorpion's Lair, Second Edition

The second edition of this level is an attempt to fix the problems of the
original; firstly, the original became too large for an eight-player game at a
normal pace; secondly, the lack of weapons (which is more than likely caused by
weapons becoming "lost" due to the level size).

There is little original to speak of; the changes are for the most part just
edits of the level structure to scale it to a more normal size. The two main
rooms were reduced to something closer to a typical dogfighting room in the
average level, while most of the area underneath them was removed. The
reactor tunnel was also reduced to remove some area and speed up the pace of
combat in that area. On the other hand, while the perimeter corridors are now
somewhat shorter, they are effectively the same style; those areas were some of
the more popular parts of the level.

The weapons were completely redone, but are still similar to the original, with
the exception that there are a few more of some guns (Plasma, Spreadfire) and
less of others (Vulcan). In general the balance is heavier, however, with the
aim of further accelerating play.
